In a not-so-startling turn of events, the "hey, I wonder if anyone commented on my guest post" impulse didn't arrive until Thursday night, so I missed your webinar. Sounds interesting, though.
I do wonder if there's really enough corporate will for enough change to save newspapers and allow them to grow into what they will need to be to survive in the new media environment. (And, no, I don't know what that form is, either. If I did, I'd shout it from the rooftops.) The response most of the business-side guys to the events of, say, the last five years don't give me a lot of hope.

I couldn't agree more, Pierce. As an example, check out the webinar I'm leading this Thursday for the Suburban Newspapers of America: http://www.suburban-news.org/webinarDetail.aspx?id=135. It will focus on innovation in the newsroom and is free of charge.
