Readers in Denver, at YourHub.com (disclosure - I'm the managing editor), now part of the Denver Post, have posted more than 600,000 stories, events and photos posted on our site to support our 18 print editions since March 2005.

For a product that is nominally about connecting to users via the Web, I agree with Oscar that the ability to be featured in a physical print product that is delivered to your neighbors is the greatest incentive we have compared to other social media outlets, even for the under-30 crowd (I'm 25).

Good to see this model working elsewhere.

This is an interesting concept, seems to playing off print and digital media's comparative advantages well.

I also find it interesting that you point out that the print aspect is what helps to encourage people to contribute to NOW. It makes me wonder about the average age of contributors. Seems like people who are about 30 yrs old and younger wouldn't be that motivated by having their name appear in print - online is just as fulfilling.

Thanks for highlighting these projects.

More than 32,000 stories and 23,000 photos have been posted on neighborsgo.com since we launched.

This has allowed us to "reverse publish" more than 18 weekly print editions covering 39 communities over the past two years.
